Valentino
Valentino Garavani Bounce mesh and leather sneakers
Valentino Garavani, known simply as Valentino, is one of the greatest Italian designers, a symbol of elegance and luxury in the fashion world. Born on May 11, 1932, in Voghera, Italy, he developed a passion for fashion from a young age, studying at the Accademia delle Belle Arti in Milan and subsequently at the École des Beaux-Arts and the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture in Paris.
Valentino Garavani Bounce mesh and leather sneakers In 1959, Valentino opened his atelier in Rome, on Via Condotti, marking the beginning of an extraordinary career. His first collection in 1962, presented in Florence, received an enthusiastic reception, attracting the attention of the international press. Valentino soon became famous for his sophisticated style, characterized by clean lines, precious fabrics, and impeccable attention to detail.
In the 1960s, Valentino consolidated his success by dressing celebrities and prominent figures such as Jacqueline Kennedy, who wore one of his dresses for her wedding to Aristotle Onassis. This solidified his status as the go-to designer for the global elite. "Rosso Valentino," a distinctive shade of bright red, became a brand signature and a symbol of glamour.
In 1968, Valentino introduced the famous "White" collection, featuring white dresses with intricate details, considered a turning point in fashion. In the 1980s and '90s, Valentino continued to dominate international runways, dressing stars such as Elizabeth Taylor and Sophia Loren.
After a long and brilliant career, Valentino retired in 2008, leaving the brand in the hands of new creatives. However, his name remains synonymous with timeless elegance and haute couture, with a legacy that continues to influence the fashion world.
