Gucci
Gucci is one of the most iconic luxury brands in the world, founded in 1921 in Florence by Guccio Gucci. Originally specializing in high-quality leather goods and equestrian equipment, the brand quickly became synonymous with Italian craftsmanship and timeless luxury.
In the 1950s, under the leadership of Guccio's sons—Aldo, Vasco, and Rodolfo—the brand expanded its international presence, opening boutiques in New York, London, and Tokyo. The brand introduced distinctive symbols such as the double G pattern, the green-red-green web, and the horsebit loafer.
The 1980s were characterized by family tensions and financial difficulties, culminating in the sale of the brand. The arrival of Tom Ford in 1994 as creative director marked a decisive turning point, transforming Gucci into a synonym for modern glamour and sophistication. His sexy and bold collections relaunched the brand.
Since 2015, under the leadership of Alessandro Michele, the brand has embraced an eclectic and inclusive aesthetic, becoming a benchmark for contemporary fashion.
