The story of the piece

Fendi

Fendi FF Zucca print cotton T-shirt

Fendi is a historic Italian fashion maison, founded in Rome in 1925 by Adele and Edoardo Fendi as a workshop specializing in leather goods and furs. The brand quickly established itself through the artisanal quality and elegance of its creations, becoming a benchmark in the luxury sector.

Fendi FF Zucca print cotton T-shirt. The true international breakthrough occurred in the 1960s, when the founders' five daughters joined the company and, in 1965, appointed Karl Lagerfeld as creative director. Lagerfeld revolutionized the approach to fur, making it lighter, more modern, and innovative, and created the famous “FF” (Fun Fur) logo, which would become the symbol of the maison.

In the 1980s and '90s, Fendi expanded its offering to include prêt-à-porter, accessories, and fragrances, always maintaining artisanal excellence at its core. One of the key moments was the launch of the Baguette bag in 1997, designed by Silvia Venturini Fendi: small, elegant, and carried under the arm, the Baguette quickly became a pop icon, also thanks to its presence in the series Sex and the City.

In 2001, the LVMH group acquired a controlling stake in the brand, further strengthening Fendi's global presence. Following the passing of Karl Lagerfeld in 2019, Silvia Venturini Fendi has led menswear and accessories, while in 2020 Kim Jones was appointed creative director of the women's collections.

Today, Fendi represents a perfect balance between innovation and tradition, known for its sophisticated design, creative use of materials, and the ability to reinvent itself while remaining faithful to its Roman DNA. The maison continues to be a pillar of international fashion, with collections that combine luxury, irony, and timeless craftsmanship.
