Dolce&Gabbana

Dolce&Gabbana double leather belt.

Dolce & Gabbana continued to work with Madonna, designing the outfits for her 2001 international Drowned World Tour, in support of her album released in 2000 Music.[17] They also designed outfits for the international tours of Missy Elliot, Beyoncé, and Mary J. Blige.[17][18] In 1999, the duo appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show in support of singer Whitney Houston, who used the show to preview the outfits designed by Dolce & Gabbana for her My Love is Your Love tour, considered by fashion and music critics as unusually risqué.

The duo continued to design outfits for musical artists throughout the 2000s, including outfits for Kylie Minogue's Showgirl Homecoming tour.[17] Madonna also took part in Dolce & Gabbana's 2010 advertising campaigns.[8] In the 2000s, Dolce & Gabbana drew significant inspiration from football.

In 2003, the menswear line drew inspiration primarily from the world's greatest football stars.[9] Other forms of art also drew inspiration from Dolce & Gabbana. In 2003, dance music artist Frankie Knuckles said the maison was an "excellent barometer" for trends in the worlds of fashion and music.[20] Following their impact on the design world, in 2002 corsets, which played an essential role in the early days of Dolce & Gabbana, were rediscovered by many European designers as an upcoming trend.
