In 1910, she opened her first hat shop in Paris, immediately distinguishing herself with a simple and elegant style that contrasted with the elaborate fashions of the time. During the First World War, Chanel revolutionized women's clothing by introducing comfortable, linear garments inspired by menswear, using innovative materials such as jersey. Her vision was clear: to free women from corsets and uncomfortable dresses without sacrificing elegance.

The 1920s saw the arrival of some of the maison's most famous creations: the tweed suit, the quilted bag with a gold chain, and above all, the Chanel N°5 fragrance, launched in 1921 and destined to become a legend. During this period, the concept of the "petite robe noire" was also born—the famous little black dress, a symbol of timeless sobriety and refinement.

Coco Chanel's career faced a setback during the Second World War, when the designer closed the maison. However, in 1954, at over seventy years old, she returned to the scene with collections that were initially criticized but ultimately profoundly influenced international fashion.

After the death of Coco Chanel in 1971, the maison continued to evolve, keeping its innovative spirit alive.
