Phillip Lim, founder of the fashion brand 3.1 Phillip Lim, was born in Bangkok, Thailand, in 1973, and moved to the United States with his family as a young man. After studying at California State University and subsequently at the Parsons School of Design in New York, Lim began gaining experience in the fashion world, working for various designers and brands.
