The story of the piece
Louis Vuitton
Louis Vuitton leather and wood logo sandals
Louis Vuitton is one of the most prestigious luxury maisons in the world, founded in 1854 in Paris by Louis Vuitton, an artisan specializing in the production of trunks and travel goods. After working for Empress Eugénie, wife of Napoleon III, Vuitton opened his first boutique on Rue Neuve des Capucines, introducing a new concept of luggage: lightweight, stackable trunks made of waterproof canvas.

In 1896, his son Georges Vuitton created the famous LV monogram decorated with flowers and geometric patterns, to make the products easily recognizable and to protect against imitations. This design has become one of the most iconic symbols of international luxury.
During the 20th century, the company expanded globally, opening boutiques all over the world. In the 1980s, Louis Vuitton merged with Moët & Chandon and Hennessy, giving rise to the LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy) group, now a world leader in the luxury sector.
With the arrival of Marc Jacobs as creative director in 1997, Louis Vuitton introduced prêt-à-porter, fashion accessories, shoes, and artistic collaborations, including those with Stephen Sprouse, Takashi Murakami, and Yayoi Kusama, which made the brand even more influential and desirable.
In 2018, with the arrival of Virgil Abloh as artistic director of the menswear line, Louis Vuitton embraced an even more contemporary and inclusive language, revolutionarily blending streetwear and haute couture.
Today Louis Vuitton is synonymous with craftsmanship, innovation, and timeless style. Its products represent a perfect balance between tradition and modernity, maintaining a strong historical identity while continuing to evolve to captivate new generations worldwide.
