In the post-war period, under the leadership of Franco and later Sergio Loro Piana, the brand transformed from a textile producer into a true international luxury benchmark. The company invests in the research of the world's rarest and most precious natural fibers, becoming a global leader in cashmere and vicuña, the finest and most expensive animal fiber in existence, sourced from the Andean highlands. Loro Piana also plays a key role in protecting the vicuña, contributing to species conservation projects and supporting local communities.

Starting from the 1990s, the brand expanded into clothing and accessories, maintaining a rigorous philosophy: precious materials, essential design, and uncompromising quality. This led to the creation of iconic pieces such as the baby cashmere coat, ultra-lightweight scarves, storm-proof cashmere jackets, and the famous suede footwear.

In 2013, the LVMH group acquired a majority stake in the company, ensuring global growth while leaving the brand's identity intact, still deeply connected to the family and Italian artisanal tradition.
