In the 1920s, Chanel introduced iconic pillars of the contemporary wardrobe: the little black dress, considered a symbol of universal elegance; the tweed suit, which became a hallmark of the maison; and the Chanel N°5 fragrance, created in 1921, destined to become the most famous perfume in the world. The brand continued to grow and establish itself as a symbol of discreet luxury and creative innovation.

After a hiatus during the Second World War, Coco Chanel returned to the scene in 1954, relaunching the tweed suit and redefining the concept of feminine modernity. Upon her death in 1971, the maison underwent a period of transition until the arrival of Karl Lagerfeld in 1983. With his bold vision, Lagerfeld reinvented Chanel, blending tradition and contemporaneity, transforming the maison into a global fashion powerhouse. His designs maintained the classic codes – tweed, pearls, chains, black and white – reinterpreting them with a modern and often ironic twist.

Following Lagerfeld's passing in 2019, the creative direction passed to Virginie Viard, who continues to develop the Chanel legacy with a more intimate, delicate, and sartorial approach.
