Victorinox was founded in 1884 in Ibach, Switzerland, when Karl Elsener opened a cutlery workshop. In 1891, he supplied the first pocket knife to the Swiss Army, laying the foundation for the legendary Swiss Army knife. In 1909, in honor of his mother Victoria, he registered the brand "Victoria", to which he added "Inox" (stainless steel) in 1921, creating the name Victorinox.
During the 20th century, the Swiss Army knife became a global icon, prized for its quality and versatility. Iconic models such as the "Swiss Champ" offer multifunctional tools ranging from blades and screwdrivers to scissors and tweezers. The company grew, exporting worldwide and consolidating its reputation for Swiss excellence.

In 1989, Victorinox entered the watchmaking industry, combining Swiss precision with functional design. In 2005, it acquired Wenger, its historic competitor, becoming the sole official supplier of the Swiss Army knife. The company expanded further into luggage, apparel, and fragrances, always upholding the values of quality, innovation, and durability.
Today, Victorinox is a global brand, synonymous with reliability and ingenuity. The Swiss Army knife, the brand's emblem, has even been exhibited at MoMA in New York and taken into space by NASA astronauts. With a strong commitment to sustainability, the company continues to produce high-quality tools and accessories, blending tradition with innovation.
