In 1966, Saint Laurent introduced one of fashion's most iconic pieces: Le Smoking, the famous women's tuxedo that became a symbol of empowerment and sophistication.

In the sixties and seventies, the brand established itself as one of the most influential in international fashion. Yves Saint Laurent drew inspiration from art, culture, and various global traditions, creating innovative collections such as the famous Mondrian collection, characterized by color-block dresses inspired by the paintings of artist Piet Mondrian. During this period, the maison also launched the Rive Gauche line, one of the first luxury prêt-à-porter lines, making high-quality fashion more accessible.

In the eighties and nineties, the brand continued to consolidate its reputation as a symbol of elegance and creativity. Following the designer's retirement in 2002, the maison went through several creative directions, while always maintaining the founder's stylistic legacy.
