The story of Missoni began when Ottavio, a former Olympic athlete, and Rosita, from a family of textile manufacturers, combined their expertise to create a small clothing company in Gallarate. In the 1960s, Missoni achieved international success when its collections were enthusiastically received in Florence during the Palazzo Pitti fashion show in 1967.
