Dolce & Gabbana is an Italian fashion maison founded in 1985 in Legnano by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. Domenico, originally from Polizzi Generosa (Sicily), came from a family of tailors, while Stefano, from Milan, had studied graphic design. Their collaboration began in 1982, culminating with the presentation of their first collection in 1985 during Milano Collezioni.

Inspired by Sicilian tradition, Dolce & Gabbana have created a distinctive style that celebrates Mediterranean sensuality. Elements such as corsets, black lace, and slip dresses have become icons of their brand, often associated with female figures from neorealist cinema like Anna Magnani and Claudia Cardinale.

Dolce&Gabbana patchwork and tie dye denim miniskirt. In the 1990s, the brand expanded its offering with lines of perfumes, eyewear, lingerie, and childrenswear. They also collaborated with international celebrities, including Madonna, for whom they created the costumes for the "Girlie Show World Tour" in 1993.

In 2004, Dolce & Gabbana began collaborating with AC Milan to design football kits, further consolidating their presence in the world of sport.

Today, Dolce & Gabbana is synonymous with luxury and craftsmanship, with collections ranging from Alta Moda to Alta Sartoria, celebrating Italian culture and traditions. Their commitment to promoting local craftsmanship is evident in the "Botteghe di Mestiere" project, which aims to pass on passion and creativity to new generations.
