The Chanel brand was born in the early 20th century thanks to the revolutionary vision of Gabrielle Chanel, known as Coco Chanel. In 1910, she opened her first boutique in Paris, initially dedicated to hats, immediately distinguishing herself with a simple and elegant style that stood in stark contrast to the elaborate fashion of the era.

In the 1920s, Chanel revolutionized the female wardrobe by introducing practical and comfortable garments, such as the jersey suit and the famous “little black dress,” a symbol of timeless elegance. The designer liberated the female body from corsets and constraints, proposing a new idea of modern and independent femininity.

Another great success is the Chanel N°5 perfume, launched in 1921, which became an iconic fragrance worldwide. In 1955, the 2.55 bag was born, characterized by its golden chain and functional design, and remains one of the most coveted models today.

After a hiatus during the Second World War, Gabrielle Chanel returned in 1954, bringing the maison back to prominence. Following her death in 1971, the brand underwent a transition period until the arrival of Karl Lagerfeld in 1983, who reinterpreted historical codes with a contemporary touch, relaunching Chanel on the global stage.

Today, Chanel represents the essence of French luxury, blending tradition and innovation. The maison continues to influence international fashion with an iconic, sophisticated, and ever-current style.
