The story of Jacquemus is that of a young French designer who revolutionized contemporary fashion with creativity, authenticity, and simplicity. Simon Porte Jacquemus was born in 1990 in Salon-de-Provence, in the south of France. At just 19 years old, he moved to Paris to study fashion, but shortly after the sudden passing of his mother – his greatest inspiration – he decided to found his own brand in 2009: Jacquemus, his mother's maiden name.
From the very beginning, the brand has stood out for its minimalist, poetic, and sunny style, inspired by the landscapes, colors, and spontaneity of Provence. Its collections blend bold proportions, asymmetrical cuts, and a fresh, natural sensuality, far from the conventions of Parisian haute couture.
Jacquemus quickly became a cult name among young people thanks to its direct and innovative approach, promoting its collections on social media and collaborating with emerging artists and photographers. In 2015, it received the LVMH Prize, consolidating its position on the international stage.
Success exploded definitively in 2018 with the Le Chiquito mini bag, which went viral for its micro proportions and ironic design.
