Dior is one of the most prestigious and influential maison in fashion history. Founded in 1946 in Paris by designer Christian Dior, the fashion house was born with the goal of restoring elegance and femininity to women's clothing in the post-World War II period. From its very first collection, presented in 1947, Dior revolutionized the fashion world with the famous "New Look," characterized by soft shoulders, a cinched waist, and full skirts that accentuated the female silhouette.
