2. Scope
These conditions govern purchases made on the website. They apply in the version published at the time of the order, which the customer may save and print. Customers purchasing as consumers retain, in all cases, the protections that the law of their country of residence does not allow to be excluded.
3. Products
We sell vintage and pre-owned garments and accessories, almost always unique pieces. Each product page indicates the maison, the condition of the item, the composition when the label is present, the measurements, and photographs of the actual item. The signs of use described in the description or visible in the photographs are part of the item and are not considered defects. Every piece is inspected to guarantee its originality; upon request, we issue a certificate of authenticity.
4. Prices
Prices are in euro and include VAT, applied under the margin scheme for used goods (art. 36 of D.L. 41/1995): for this reason, VAT is not listed separately on the invoice. Shipping costs are visible in the cart before order confirmation and depend on the destination country (Shipping page). For shipments outside the European Union, import duties and taxes are the responsibility of the customer.
5. Ordering and conclusion of the contract
The customer selects the pieces, provides delivery details and the payment method, and submits the order by clicking the confirmation button, which entails the obligation to pay. Before submitting, the customer can correct the data at any time. The contract is concluded when the customer receives the order confirmation email, which includes the order summary and links to these conditions and the withdrawal policy. If confirmation does not arrive within 24 hours, the customer may contact us at [email protected].
Items are also available for sale in our boutiques. If an item ordered online has already been sold, we will notify you immediately via email, cancel the order for that item, and refund the amount paid without delay, no later than 14 days.
These conditions apply to online purchases. Rental for shoots and projects and the Click & Boutique service (free in-boutique trial, no obligation to purchase) are not purchased via the website and are subject to their own agreements.
6. Payment
Available payment methods are listed on the Payments page and at checkout. The amount is charged at the time of the order. Klarna and HeyLight are installment payment services offered by those companies, subject to their own terms, which the customer accepts directly with them.
Those who prefer a bank transfer may request it from customer service, also via WhatsApp (+39 393 3396374), before placing the order. The item will be reserved and shipped once the amount has been credited; the customer must send the transfer receipt via email within 48 hours, otherwise the order will be cancelled and the item returned to sale; if the credit arrives after cancellation, we will refund the amount. Card details are processed directly by the payment service providers and are not stored by us. Invoices can be requested from customer service by providing the order number.
7. Shipping and delivery
We ship within 1-2 working days of the order, via tracked courier. In Italy, delivery takes an average of 2 working days from shipment; abroad, times depend on the courier and the country. In any case, delivery occurs within 30 days of the order. The risk of loss or damage passes to the customer when the package is delivered. For orders in Italy, free boutique pickup is available (Como, Milano, Legnano) by contacting the boutique 48 hours in advance.
8. Right of withdrawal
The consumer may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receiving the items, without providing a reason, including for orders picked up in boutique. Withdrawal is communicated via the «Recede dal contratto qui» button on the order, within your account (Il mio account › Recedi dal contratto). The standard withdrawal form is also available on the Returns and Withdrawal page. Items must be returned within 14 days of the withdrawal notice, and the cost of return shipping is the responsibility of the customer. We refund within 14 days of the notice, including the standard shipping cost of the order, and we may wait to receive the items or proof of their shipment. 9. Legal guarantee of conformity
The legal guarantee of conformity provided by articles 128-135 of the Consumer Code applies to all items, which cannot be excluded for consumers. As these are used goods, by accepting these conditions, the customer and Medea S.r.l. agree that the guarantee lasts one year from delivery, the minimum required by law for used goods. Any defect must be reported within two months of discovery to [email protected], including the order number and a photograph; defects that appear within one year of delivery are presumed to have existed at the time of delivery, unless this is incompatible with the nature of the item or the defect; the customer is entitled to repair or replacement and, when these are not possible, as is usually the case with unique pieces, to a price reduction or termination of the contract. The signs of use described in the description are not defects of conformity.
10. Complaints and disputes
Complaints should be sent to [email protected]: we respond within 10 working days. The contract is governed by Italian law, without prejudice to the mandatory protections of the consumer's country of residence. For disputes involving a consumer, the court of the place where the consumer resides shall have jurisdiction.
11. Gift Card
The Gift Card can be purchased online in the denominations indicated on its page and is sent via email to the recipient immediately after payment, including a personal code. It has no expiry date and can be used online, in the discount code field at checkout, and in the boutiques of Milano, Como, and Legnano, even across multiple purchases: any unused balance remains on the code. It applies to the price of the items and not to shipping costs, cannot be converted into cash, and cannot be used to purchase other Gift Cards. The purchaser may withdraw within 14 days of purchase: we refund the full amount if the Gift Card has not been used, or the remaining balance if it has been partially used. If you return items paid for with a Gift Card, the portion paid with the code will be returned to the code. The Gift Card is a multi-use voucher: the amount paid is its value, and VAT is applied when you use it on the purchased items. The code must be kept safe: whoever possesses it can use it.
12. Language
The contract is concluded in Italian. If the customer consults a translation, the Italian text shall prevail in the event of any discrepancies.
