The history of Roger Vivier is closely linked to the creative genius of its founder, Roger Vivier, born in Paris in 1907. From a young age, he developed a passion for design and craftsmanship, studying sculpture at the École des Beaux-Arts, a training that would deeply influence his approach to footwear creation.

In the 1930s, he opened his first boutique in Paris and quickly stood out for an innovative and sophisticated style. However, it was in the 1950s that he achieved international fame thanks to his collaboration with Dior. For the maison, he created iconic shoes, including the famous “comma” heel, a revolution in women's footwear design.

In 1965, he designed the famous “Pilgrim shoes” with buckle, worn by Catherine Deneuve in the film Belle de Jour. This model became one of the brand's most recognizable symbols, embodying elegance and modernity.

Throughout his career, Roger Vivier has been considered the “Fabergé of the shoe” for his attention to detail and artistic approach. After his death in 1998, the brand continues to evolve, keeping its legacy alive through contemporary creations that unite tradition and innovation.

Today, Roger Vivier represents one of the most prestigious names in the luxury footwear world. His history is a perfect balance of art, technique, and creativity, capable of transforming every shoe into a true work of art.
