In the 1970s, leadership of the company passed to his niece Miuccia Prada, a figure destined to radically transform the brand. With her intellectual sensibility, unconventional taste, and innovative approach to design, Miuccia introduced a new aesthetic of minimalism, experimentation, and contrast. In 1984, she launched the legendary Pocone black nylon bag, an industrial material reinterpreted through a luxury lens: a revolutionary gesture that redefined contemporary fashion.

In the 1990s, Prada became one of the most influential maisons in the world, thanks to collections characterized by clean lines, sophisticated palettes, and an aesthetic narrative that blends austerity and irony. In 1993, Miuccia also launched Miu Miu, a younger and more experimental line that further expanded the maison's creative vision.
