The company was founded in 1966 in Vicenza by Michele Taddei and Renzo Zengiaro, with the aim of creating entirely handmade leather products.

From its beginnings, the brand has distinguished itself through manufacturing excellence and the Intrecciato technique.

In the seventies and eighties, Bottega Veneta won over an international clientele thanks to its high-quality bags, luggage, and accessories. In 2018, creative direction passed to Daniel Lee, who profoundly renewed the brand's image with iconic accessories, modern volumes, and a new interpretation of the Intrecciato. Since 2021, creative leadership has been entrusted to Matthieu Blazy, who has consolidated the brand's success through innovative collections, keeping artisanal quality and material research at its core.
