Ann Demeulemeester is a Belgian designer and the founder of her eponymous brand, established in 1985. She is one of the key figures of the “Antwerp Six,” a group of six designers who graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp in the 1980s and revolutionized international fashion.
The Ann Demeulemeester brand is renowned for its dark, poetic, and androgynous style, characterized by a minimalist yet sophisticated aesthetic. Her pieces blend masculine and feminine elements, with a preference for black and high-quality materials, conveying a sense of rebellious elegance.
