After studying fashion in Paris and working in major French ateliers, Valentino returned to Italy bringing with him a taste for French haute couture, reinterpreted with Italian elegance and creativity. In the 1960s, the maison achieved worldwide success dressing style icons such as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, which helped make Valentino one of the most coveted names in haute couture. It was during this period that the famous Rosso Valentino was born, a distinctive shade of intense, luminous red that would become the maison's signature symbol.

Over the decades, Valentino expanded its offering to include prêt-à-porter, accessories, bags, footwear, fragrances, and eyewear, always maintaining a high level of quality. Its creations stood out for hand-made embroidery, refined lace, precious embellishments, and a classic elegance capable of transcending trends without losing its charm.

In 2008, Valentino Garavani retired from the runways after nearly fifty years of career, leaving behind a creative legacy that continues to inspire the fashion world. In the following years, creative direction was entrusted to several designers, including Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, who reinterpreted the maison's codes with contemporary sensibility, preserving its identity.
