La Belle Époque: the story of Massimo Crisafulli and Ilaria Bianchi, a new vision of luxury

Discover the story of La Belle Époque and its founders, Massimo Crisafulli and Ilaria Bianchi, pioneers of luxury pre-owned in Italy.

In the fashion world, true luxury is not defined solely by what is new. It is a matter of quality, authenticity, research, and the ability to recognize the value of an object over time.

It is from this vision that in 2017 La Belle Époque was born, the project founded by Massimo Crisafulli and Ilaria Bianchi, which combines entrepreneurial experience and creative sensibility to offer a new interpretation of the luxury pre-owned world in Italy.

Two different professional paths, two complementary skills, and a shared conviction: the iconic pieces and accessories of the great Maison deserve to be rediscovered, valued, and passed down.

The origins of La Belle Époque: a new culture of luxury pre-owned

When Massimo and Ilaria founded La Belle Époque in 2017, the luxury pre-owned market in Italy was still an emerging sector.

Among the first to foresee its potential, they imagined a boutique model capable of offering a shopping experience worthy of contemporary luxury, where selection quality, product knowledge, and attention to detail become fundamental elements.

The goal is not simply to propose an alternative to the new, but to help transform the perception of luxury second hand, making it a conscious choice for those seeking authenticity, uniqueness, and style.

An approach that interprets fashion not just as consumption, but as cultural and aesthetic heritage to be preserved over time.

Massimo Crisafulli: entrepreneurial intuition and market vision

With nearly thirty years of experience in fashion retail, Massimo Crisafulli has built his professional career by anticipating market transformations and identifying new opportunities before they became established trends.

A graduate of Bocconi University with a specialization in Small and Medium Enterprise Management, he began his entrepreneurial journey in the late nineties, founding Quarter, one of the first Italian retailers dedicated to board sports and streetwear culture.

The project grew to become a network of five points of sale, active for over twenty years. Subsequently, Massimo created Fortysix, a concept store specializing in premium streetwear.

Experiences that testify to a constant ability to read the evolution of consumption and recognize the potential of still unexplored markets.

In 2017, this attitude led him to identify a new opportunity in the luxury pre-owned sector.

With La Belle Époque, Massimo develops an entrepreneurial vision that combines luxury excellence with the principles of circularity, through rigorous processes of selection, authentication, and product enhancement.

Today he leads the company's development, maintaining a central role in buying activities and collection selection.

His philosophy centers on three fundamental values: expertise, transparency, and authenticity.

In a constantly evolving market, trust is an essential element. For this reason, Massimo emphasizes the importance of high quality standards, deep product knowledge, and authentication processes capable of protecting both the customer and the heritage of the great luxury brands.

Ilaria Bianchi: creative sensibility and the aesthetic identity of La Belle Époque

If Massimo represents the entrepreneurial vision of the project, Ilaria Bianchi interprets its creative soul.

A graduate of IED – Istituto Europeo di Design, with a specialization in Fashion, Ilaria developed her professional experience in the luxury world, deepening her knowledge of product, image, and visual merchandising.

For over ten years she worked at Moncler, holding roles of increasing responsibility in managing the brand's visual identity, both in Italy and in the main international markets, including Germany, France, Turkey, and Russia.

A journey that allowed her to develop a complete vision of the retail experience and the aesthetic languages of luxury, learning to combine product, creativity, and storytelling.

In parallel, she works as a fashion stylist, collaborating with RSB Studio and further refining her sensibility in constructing fashion image and narrative.

Within La Belle Époque, Ilaria is responsible for the brand's creative identity and the visual merchandising of the boutiques.

Her curatorial approach transforms every space into a place dedicated to fashion culture, where selection is based not only on the economic value of the products, but also on their aesthetic, historical, and collectible relevance.

Every garment and accessory is interpreted as an object capable of telling a story, expressing an identity, and preserving its charm beyond current trends.

La Belle Époque today: luxury pre-owned boutiques in Milan, Como, and Legnano

From the meeting between Massimo's entrepreneurial vision and Ilaria's aesthetic sensibility, La Belle Époque has grown to become an authoritative reality in the Italian luxury pre-owned landscape.

Today the brand is present with boutiques in Milan, Como, and Legnano, spaces where product research and attention to the shopping experience shape the founders' philosophy.

Each boutique expresses an idea of luxury based on selection, authenticity, and the lasting value of objects.

An approach that invites you to look at fashion from a different perspective: no longer just through the desire for novelty, but through the discovery of pieces capable of maintaining their aesthetic and cultural meaning over time.

Beyond trends: the timeless value of luxury

The story of La Belle Époque is, above all, the story of two visions meeting.

On one hand, Massimo Crisafulli's entrepreneurial experience, the ability to anticipate the market, and the will to build a model based on trust and quality.

On the other, Ilaria Bianchi's creative sensibility, her knowledge of luxury aesthetic codes, and the ability to transform product selection into a journey of discovery.

Together, they have brought to life a project that contributes to promoting a new culture of circular luxury, where value depends not exclusively on novelty, but on the uniqueness, authenticity, and relevance that an object retains over time.

Because true luxury is not necessarily owning something new, but knowing how to recognize the value of what is destined to last.

Discover the world of La Belle Époque and let yourself be inspired by a selection of luxury pre-owned fashion and accessories in the boutiques of Milan, Como, and Legnano.
